The Curacao Maritime Association

The Curaçao Maritime Association (CMAR) was founded in 2020 under the laws of the Commonwealth of Curaçao. A member-based organization represented by domestic & international maritime service providers, liners, stevedoring & terminal operators, shipping agents, tug & barge operators, and other industry service associated organizations. Accounting for approximately 30 organizations.

The association works closely with Government agencies and the island private sector to promote the growth and wellbeing of the community. It also represents its membership in forums and entities of relevant nature to the island social and economic evolution.

The CMAR promotes initiatives to advance the interests of its members, and the aim towards world class safety, technology, standards and practices in everything we do. The programs and initiatives towards the development of our industry professionals had played a pivotal role in the evolution of our business sector. All the above to serve the purpose of remaining a robust and competitive industry.

Recognizing the island significant dependency on imports and exports, we take very seriously our role to our customers and society.
