Nicole Chirino, a seasoned Business Advisor, was born and raised in Curaçao. After studying and working in Europe for 12 years, she returned to the Dutch Caribbean in 2004, bringing international experience in strategy development and organizational structuring.
Nicole’s career began in Europe at the European headquarters of Whirlpool in Italy, before moving into consulting. She later served as Deputy Secretary for the Island Government of Bonaire, contributing to significant structural changes in the island’s government. Following this, she worked at KPMG as a Senior Manager, where she helped develop organizational blueprints for Curaçao, Sint Maarten, and Bonaire and formed part of projects in bank mergers, public sector reorganizations, and infrastructure improvements.
In 2017, Nicole founded NACH, an independent business enterprise, where she now participates in maritime and industrial redevelopment projects in Curaçao, including the regeneration of the Schottegat and Bullen Bay industrial areas. She is working on initiatives such as renewable energy production, port development, offshore floating wind, and the production of green hydrogen for export.
As a board member of the Curaçao Maritime Association, Nicole is focused on positioning the maritime sector to embrace change and adapt to future trends. She is committed to aligning the industry’s history with modern needs through strategic partnerships.
Nicole holds dual Master’s degrees—one in Business Administration from Erasmus University of Rotterdam and another in European and International Business Management from the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS MIM/ESADE, Barcelona).
Nicole’s philosophy is clear: “Change is the only constant, it is the way you embrace change and make it work for you that will result in success.” With this mindset, she continues to help shape the future of Curaçao’s maritime sector.
