Treasurer - CMAR Board of Directors
Joanne E. Campbell-Bromet was born and raised in Paramaribo, Suriname, studied in the USA and has been living in Curaçao for 30 years. After receiving her Bachelor in Science degree in Business Management from the University of Florida, she decided to move to the beautiful island of Curaçao where she started working for a project developer in charge of administrative and bookkeeping duties. After a couple of short-term jobs as an Office Manager at a real estate company, an Inventory Control Supervisor at a local production company and a Traffic Controller for a commodities broker, she ended up at a local trust company as a Credit Cash Management Officer, Payroller Administrator and a HRM Assistant for 13 years.
As of March 1, 2018, Joanne became a part of the team at Dutch Antilles Maritime Agencies (Curaçao) B.V. (DAMA), which has given her the opportunity to combine her work with her passion. One could say that the shipping fervor is in the blood, given that she grew up in a shipping business oriented family; with her dad taking her along as a young child to the port and on ships on multiple occasions.
Joanne is passionate about travelling, sports, soduku, giving a helping hand where needed, good food (and drinks) and quality time with friends and family.
Becoming part of the CMAR board is a position Joanne happily and proudly accepts, while looking forward to working together towards supporting and accomplishing great things for our maritime sector!
